Developing an AHA Framework Fit for Purpose

Developing an AHA framework – The Royal Rehab Group. Although it seemed like a significant undertaking, it was clear that AHAs were growing as important and integral members of the Allied Health team, and future expansion of this service was also integral for service delivery. It was important to develop a framework that would assist the organisation to provide a clear scope and definition of the AHA role. This would greatly improve the support provided to the AHAs within the service, not only for better patient outcomes but also to create a great workplace culture. It's also been recognised that AHPs who have a better understanding of the AHA role can more appropriately delegate tasks that will allow all team members to safely and efficiently work to the top of their scope, greatly improving employee job satisfaction. In this one-hour webinar, Lara Fernandez, Allied Health Educator, walked webinar attendees through the specific process they used to prepare their AHA framework and the key steps in implementing it. The framework review process and key learnings were discussed. Webinar attendees gained an understanding of: - Why developing an AHA framework is beneficial for both the organisation and its employees - The process Royal Rehab Lifeworks undertook to develop their AHA framework and how it might apply to your organisation (or impact you as an AHA) - Key steps to implement the framework - Key learnings to takeaway and apply in your workplace
