The Allied Health Assistants' National Association Ltd (AHANA) is the Australian peak body for Allied Health Assistants (AHAs).
Members of AHANA's Founding Practising Member (General) class are AHAs who committed to AHANA's high standards of ethics, conduct and practise, showing their dedication to the Allied Health Assistant profession and providing exceptional service to their clients.
Practising Member (General) membership is granted to AHAs who:
Have an Australian Certificate III or above in Allied Health Assistance; or
Demonstrated they had more than 450 hours' AHA practise in a three period, plus recent experience; or
Have experience and/or qualifications that the Board has deemed to lead to equivalent competency as an AHA, to the above eligibility criteria for entry into Practising Member (General).
